OMGD Event Recap: A Night of Elegance and Refined Tastes

A Tale of Taste: Recounting the Exquisite Delights from February 23rd, 2024

In reflection, the recent OMGD event held on Friday, February 23, 2024, in Da Nang, Vietnam, stands as a testament to sophistication and the exploration of refined flavors. Hosted by the Bailliage National du Viêt-Nam in collaboration with MAKARA Tropical Bar and SAVALL Chocolate, the event took place in the Son Tra Jungle Room at MAKARA Bar & Kitchen.

The evening's menu featured a curated selection of premium rums and American whiskeys, each expertly paired with artisanal chocolates. For the premium rum pairing, guests were treated to Plantation Grande Reserve Barbados Rum, Plantation Pineapple Rum, and Appleton Estate 21 Year Old Jamaican Rum, paired with Passion Fruit Bonbon, Pineapple Bonbon, and Lime Bonbon respectively. Meanwhile, the American whiskey pairing showcased Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Sazerac Rye New Orleans Whiskey, and Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon, accompanied by Orange Bonbon, Coffee Bonbon, and Nougat Cashew Bonbon.
