Honoring Excellence – The Journey of the Bailliage of Vietnam

At the Bailliage of Vietnam, part of the prestigious Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, we have always adhered to a simple yet profound philosophy: “Being chosen for membership in the Chaîne means you exemplify excellence in your life and your work.” This principle has guided our every endeavor, from orchestrating our signature events to nurturing a community of culinary and hospitality professionals.

For over a decade, we have dedicated ourselves to honoring the craft of cuisine, the culture of the table, and the hospitality arts in this Country. This commitment is reminiscent of the oath taken by the modern founders of the Chaîne in 1950, who pledged to act with respect and warmth towards their fellow members.

In Vietnam, our efforts have extended beyond the culinary arts, reaching into the heart of the community through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund. By supporting local charities, we have contributed to making Vietnam a richer, more vibrant culinary destination. Our members, selected for their exceptional character and dedication to excellence, have been the cornerstone of our success.

As we reflect on our journey, we acknowledge the challenges we have faced. Despite our best efforts, finding individuals who embody the Chaîne’s high standards in Vietnam has been an ongoing struggle. Rajesh Taneja has accepted the designation as Bailli Délégué Honoraire of Vietnam, as well as Conseil Magistral Honoraire, and plans to depart Vietnam to make room for his successor. This transition marks a new chapter, yet it underscores the enduring legacy of our commitment to excellence.
